Jordan Harris was born in Clermont County, Ohio, February 26, 1835, and departed this life October 24, 1899, aged 64 years, 7 months and 28 days. He was married to Sarah Demorris [DeMaris] September 21, 1856 and eleven children were born of this union, two of whom have preceeded him to the better land. He was a man of ready sympathies, modest and retiring. During his long illness, which he bore with the greatest patience no work of complaint escaped his lips. He united with the south Christian Church this summer and more then once gave evidence that he had made his peace with the blessed Master. A few moments before passing into an unscious state, from which he never rallied, he clasped his hands and exclaimed, 'Blessed Jesus'. Then looking up said, 'I cannot stay with you long, do not grieve for me.' His death was calm and peaceful

Thanks so much to Sarah J for this one :)
